Writtle is one of the oldest and largest specialist colleges supporting careers focused on Business and the "Green Industries". Writtle has been identified by the DfEE to offer an official pilot scheme for the new Foundation Degrees in Land-Based industries.

English Language programmes with visits, as well as free EFL classes run throughout the academic year.
Strong international student support
The Learning Support Centre offers a full range of help to support students through their studies. These include a full-time career advisory service, counseling and financial advice. The International Students Club runs a full programme of social activities and visits including, for example ethnic theme parties, trips to the local ice rink or ten pin bowling, and weekend trips to London, Cambridge and to concerts.
