Topping-up to a degree
The College welcomes top-up applications from students who have gained previous qualifications from any establishment - you don't have to be a current or previous Writtle student.
If you think you may be interested in topping up your previous qualifications to degree level, please contact the College for individual advice on the most appropriate level and subject for you. In many cases, applicants with existing qualifications will need to undertake the equivalent of just one year's full-time study. However, if you wish to top-up in a different discipline to that of your existing award, you may be required to study for an equivalent of two years (full-time).
'Top-ups' are suitable for:
- Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) qualifications
- Those who have successfully completed our Foundation Degrees
Topping up from HNC
Holders of an HNC award are usually advised to join a Foundation Degree programme and then may progress to the final year of a degree depending on individual circumstances and success.Postgraduate awards
If you completed your higher qualification some years ago, and you have had considerable experience or training in your field since then, we may recommend postgraduate study rather than 'topping up' to undergraduate degree. We offer a range of postgraduate courses including Masters degrees and postgraduate diplomas.Address
