Head of Learning Information Services
Rachel Hewings
Rachel has worked at Writtle College for twelve years, managing Library services to staff and students. With a background in economics and business, Rachel worked in public and academic libraries before joining Writtle. She is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and sits on the Chartership Board. Rachel specialises in mentoring, staff development, business and management and has an overview of HE and FE subjects at the College. She sits on the Academic Board, Academic Standards Committee and the Equality and Diversity Group.

Christina has worked at Writtle College since 2006. As Subject Librarian she manages library resources for animal, equine, sport, agriculture and business subjects. This involves collection development, user education and liaising with lecturers to provide a library service that is relevant to student’s needs. With a Masters in Information and Library management, Christina is interested in researching online, library marketing and is the person to contact for subject specialist research for assignments and dissertations. Previous library posts include working for the NHS and providing consultancy work for the online service Intute.
